Youth Entrepreneurs in Residents (YEIR)

A Story of Success

Y.E.I.R. are 16-26 years old BIPOC & Latinx persons and are responsible for developing new entrepreneurial opportunities and expanding existing opportunities within the CW&A community. Under the direction of the Managing Partner or an agent thereof, CW&A or the Washington Institute for Social Entrepreneurship (Wise Institute), the Y.E.I.R. Are provided an excellent foundation for not just the start-up business owner, but also for Youth who want to gain a further understanding of some of the fundamental principles associated with owning and operating a start-up or managing an established business.

Youth go thru 72 hours of entrepreneurship and of small business management Youth learn the understanding of financial and accounting terms, gain confidence and improve your communication skills, and explore the basics of running a business in accordance with legal requirements.
